The thesis starts with a theory part explaining the origin, and the history of Lean, in addition to important Lean tools, Lean principles and the difference between flow efficiency and resource efficiency. It also describes the project execution model in Aker Solutions with the associated key performance indicators, which are all important for understanding the thesis and the problem statement.
