Barns avsløring av personlige erfaringer med seksuelle overgrep

Abstract

Bakgrunn: Å bli utsatt for seksuelle overgrep i barndommen kan ha seriøse innvirkninger på barns liv og utvikling. Barn må fortelle om overgrepserfaringer for å bearbeide dem og kunne begynne å helbredes. Formål: Å belyse hva som kan være tilretteleggende og hindrende faktorer i barns avsløring av personlige erfaringer med seksuelle overgrep. Metode: Data ble samlet inn fra fire forskningsartikler, og det ble gjort en tematisk analyse for å identifisere felles temaer. Resultater: Fire hovedtemaer ble identifisert: Bekymring for seg selv og andre; Følelser og virkninger av overgrepene; Relasjon til overgriper; og Mulighet til å fortelle. Konklusjon: Funn viser til viktigheten av at barn har nære relasjoner å fortelle om overgrep til, og at samfunnets tabu rundt seksuelle overgrep mot barn bør senkes for å gjøre avsløring enklere for barn.

Background: Childhood sexual abuse can have serious effects on children's lives and development. Children need to share experiences of abuse in order to process them and be able to begin the healing process. Aim: To shed light on what can be facilitating and hindering factors in children's disclosure of personal experiences with sexual abuse. Method: Data was collected from four research articles, and a thematic analysis was performed to identify common themes. Results: Four main themes were identified: Concern for self and others; Emotions and effects of the abuse; Relationship to the abuser; and Opportunity to tell. Conclusion: Findings point to the importance of children having close relationships to disclose the abuse to, and that society's taboo regarding child sexual abuse should be lowered to make disclosure easier for children.
