Stedsutvikling av havnefronten på Bekhuskaien

Abstract

I denne bacheloroppgaven kan du lese om Bekhuskaiens transformasjon i gjennom historien til den dag i dag. I oppgavens analyse dykker vi ned i Stavangers Kommunedelplanen for sentrum, og presenterer; hvordan dagens situasjon er på kaien, hvordan landskap det er knyttet opp mot og hvilket miljø det befinner seg i. Vi ser nærmere på bo og miljøutfordringer som sol, støy, vind og nedbør. Vi undersøker tilgangen til kaien med gang og vei. Til slutt kommer det konsept og designforslag der designet går ut på å vise hvordan kaien kan transformeres for framtidige formål for utbedre Stavangers havnefront. Der industrien en tid dominerte havnefronten til en fremtid der byen tar tilbake og urbaniserer kaianleggene. For å skape god plasser for et aktivt og inkluderende bymiljø. Alt gjort av respekt til funn gjort gjennom analysene.

In this Bachelor's thesis you can read about the "Bekhuskaien"'s transformation throughout history till this day. In the papers analysis we dig into Municipality developmentplans for the city's urban core, and present the following, what the current situation is, how the landscape is shaped, how we tie it to the urban environment it belongs to. We look closer at living and Environmental challenges the dock faces. We look at important accesspoints. After this we arrive at the consept and the designproposal. The design is supposed to show how we can develop harbor properties for the future and to make a positive impact on its population and with tourism. how we can reanimate old industry areas and make them active and engaging to the urban environment. All done with respect to findings done through research and analysis.
