In addition humor has revealed impact on the social-worker himself by increasing resilience, self-esteem and prevent negatively emotions and burnouts. Further research needs to investigate how the social-worker can use humor in different social contexts with individuals with ASD. Results from these studies can later on be used in humor-training programs to increase the likelihood of using humor in the field of social work when working with ASD.
