Venstreautoritarianisme: I et moderne norsk samfunn
Abstract
The thesis "Left authoritarianism: In a modern Norwegian society" should aim toilluminate the subject of «authoritarianism», then with particular emphasis on left-wing authoritarianism throughoutissue:
- How does left-wing authoritarianism affect Norwegian society?
Authoritarianism as a term is often used, but is to some extent misunderstood ormisjudged as the term turns out to be far more comprehensive than first thought. The conceptcontains several dimensions that are highlighted during this assignment. Authoritarianismleft side was not until 2022 given a complete definition, which makes the task absolutebecomes time-relevant for further research.
The thesis also makes it clear that left-wing authoritarian attitudes increase in step withsocietal change. The thesis text also addresses the historical perspective, how centralauthoritarian leaders are mentioned. They also play a central role in the worldview one has today, and one first began researching the concept of "authoritarianism" in the aftermath of their reign.
The method used in the thesis text compares methods from previous research withsurveys, then due to the similarities of the data. The result gives an insight intothe population's attitudes towards freedom of expression, where restrictions and in some cases censorship areongoing in the public debate.
Social consensus and anti-conservatism have led to a restriction on academic freedom of expressionwhere certain issues are not posed, or where research findings are not published. The thesis should be able to provide a deeper understanding of the social picture that exists today, andreflect on key developments seen in today's population - primarily concentrated aroundauthoritarianism.
