Places shape us. A place analysis of Går du nå, er du ikke lenger min datterIn this thesis I will perform a site analysis of Anne Bitsch's narrative non-fiction "Går du nå, er du ikke lenger min datter. (Bitsch, 2017). I will examine the importance of place and identity using place theory. I will explain the building blocks of place theory, where I will consider the spatial turn, followed by a review of literary geography and cartography. Other important concepts in the analysis are chronotopes, heterotopias, utopias, resonance and wonder. As the book tells us about the author's difficult and taboo childhood, I will take a closer look at crisis and deviation heterotopia.
