Within the Oil & Gas Industry, the market is constantly growing more competitive, forcing companies to continually adapt to changes. Companies need to cut costs and improve the business efficiency. One way of successfully managing these challenges is to implement business process management in the organization. This thesis will analyze how Oceaneering Asset Integrity AS handled the implementation of a Business Process Management System and the effects it had on the employees. The main goals of this thesis are to examine the following issues: - What effects a newly implemented Business Process Management System would have on the employees working within project management, at Oceaneering Asset Integrity. - How these effects corresponded with the managements’ expectations and assumptions. - Determine the consequences of business process management and which corresponding factors are important to govern. - Conclude if implementing such a system was the right decision. Through interviews and questionnaires, personal opinions could be obtained from the management and employees, regarding the Business Process Management System. The acquired results were used to analyze and discuss the issues based on the theoretical literature. It became clear that the employees working within project management were pleased with the Business Process Management System, understanding the purpose and benefits. The visualization of the processes and procedures will secure the company in delivering high quality services to their clients in an efficient manner, just like the management predicted. It can be concluded that the implementation of the Business Process Management System has had a positive impact on the company and the employees. If the management is willing to use the necessary resources to maintain, update and develop the system in the future, there is no doubt quality cost will decrease and business efficiency increase. It was therefore a wise decision to implement the Business Process Management System.no_NO
