dc.description.abstract | This study concentrates on reprocessing a cube of post-stack 3D seismic data from offshore
East Scotland to improve resolution of the data. The main application of the reprocessing is to
allow for a better interpretation of the data to be made. The methodology employed was
divided into 2 main parts: 1. FX prediction and Linear Noise Attenuation was carried out
using Vista; 2. Seismic Interpretation using Petrel software was used to QC the dataset. The
reprocessed dataset can be interpreted with a higher degree of confidence. Key results are: 1.
Faults are more visible and easier to interpret and 2. Horizons can be mapped easier. | no_NO |
