Sammendrag
The work in this thesis was Collaboration between the Norwegian School of Veterinary Science (NSVS), IRIS (the International Research Institute of Stavanger), and the University of Stavanger. NSVS innoculated two genotypes of the bacteria Anaplasma phagocytophilum in four different lambs, two with variant 1 and two with variant 2. The request from NSVS was to find possible biomarkers for the disease "Sjodogg" caused by A. phagocytophilum transmitted by the tick Ixodes ricinus. The samples received by from NSVS were selected from peaks in the infection cycle based on rickettsemia of A. phagocytophilum in the blood of lambs.
