Mulighetsstudie for Dreyersholmen

Abstract

Oppgaven er et mulighetsstudie for Dreyersholmen i Stavanger Øst. Området er i dag et industriområde med et tankanlegg eid av Uno-X, men er regulert til kombinert boligbebyggelse som på Lervig Brygge. Målet er å utforme et attraktivt og bærekraftig bomiljø som vekker interesse hos folk i alle aldre og livssituasjoner.

For å få til dette starter jeg med en stedsanalyse for å kartlegge informasjon om området. Temaene som inngår i analysen er litt av historien til området, topografien der, morfologien i området, funksjon og bruk, sirkulasjon, blågrønn infrastruktur, boligsammensetning og befolkning, klima og bærekraft – hvordan dette er relevant og påvirker området. Analysen skal samle inn informasjon som er viktig for å kunne ta oppgaven til neste steg som er konseptutvikling og designforslag.

På bakgrunn av funnene i analysen blir det tatt valg om hvordan man kan forsterke styrkene og forbedre svakhetene som har blitt oppdaget. Det er også et mål om at konseptutviklingen skal styrke identiteten til Dreyersholmen. Da med tanke på at det en gang var en holme og ikke en del av fastlandet. Det skal også være et bærekraftig bomiljø, det er viktig for fremtiden at det blir etablert mer bærekraftige måter å leve på slik at vi sammen kan bidra til å bekjempe klimautfordringene vi står ovenfor i dag.

The task is a feasibility study for Dreyersholmen in Stavanger East. The project area is today an industrial area containing tank facilities owned by Uno-X, it is however regulated to become an area with housing and business like Lervig Brygge. The goal is to make an attractive and sustainable living environment for people of all ages and living situations.

To do this I will start with a site analysis to map information of the area. The topics in the analysis will be some of the history of the area, the topography, morphology of the area, the functions and uses of the area, movement patterns and connections, blue-green infrastructure, housing typology and population demographics, climate and sustainability – how this is relevant and may affect the area. The analysis will gather information about the area which is important to take the task to the next stage, concept development and design proposal.

Based on what is found through the site analysis, choices will be made to strengthen the strengths and improve the weaknesses discovered in the analysis. Another goal for the concept development is to strengthen Dreyersholmen’s identity. Dreyersholmen used to be an islet which was not connected to the mainland, this is in the name of the area and is a part of the area’s identity. The task is also to make a sustainable living environment which can be part of the identity and it is important for the future to establish this kind of living situations so that we contribute to counteracting the climate challenges the world faces today.
