This study focuses on the concept of organizational resilience and its role in efficient management. It investigates the management process of Yara, during the Covid-19 pandemic to evaluate the contribution of resilience to their performance. The research aims to identify potential gaps in the existing literature on organizational resilience and explore how the findings can enhance the conceptual framework in the field of organizational resilience. Empirical evidence is gathered through document analysis and interviews with relevant stakeholders. The document analysis reveals the efforts made by Yara to mitigate the crisis and showcases evidence of resilience. The interviews provide additional insights into the organization's resilience capabilities. Findings of the analysis highlight the presence of several resilience capabilities in Yara's management, indicating a high level of resilience. The organization demonstrated adaptability to the situation, timely implementation of measures, and overall satisfaction with their management of the pandemic, and the study concludes that organizational resilience plays a significant role in efficient management. It also identifies gaps in the literature, such as the need for context-specific considerations, the role of a well-established organizational culture, and the need to consider long-term perspectives in resilience research. The study contributes to understanding the role of resilience in efficient management and proposes areas for further research.
