Abstract
Children with disabilities have specialized health care needs. In Tanzania, political efforts have focused on improving these children’s access to specialized health care. This chapter explores some of the key challenges still facing children who live with disabilities, despite these efforts. We discuss possible ways forward, including the development of effective assessments and intervention plans for this vulnerable population.
