dc.description.abstractFor building timber solution have the later years grown more popular with the focus on climate and more environmental solutions. This is because of the more traditional solution like steel and concrete still have a huge impact on the CO2 emissions around the world. This is why in we need more and better timber solutions to changes out the traditional more environmental harming solutions. This thesis takes a look at solutions for shear wall fastenings for Cross-laminated-timber walls and compare it to an absolute fasten CLT wall. There has been made 3 models in this study one with an absolute fastening and 2 others with a realistic fastening method. To test these models the FEM-program ANSYS is used this helps with solving the problem without need of actual material, and gives a realistic result compared to do the physical tests. In this study it is shows that the biggest separation between an absolute fasten solution and a realistic solution is that the wall will be able to lift from the ground on one side. This creates a relative larger deflection in on corner which results in a large displacement and rotation. It is also shown that a solution how slides less between the parts and gives a larger surface are for the forces to transfer through will give less deformation and rotation to the structure.
