The purpose of this thesis is to investige and compare the effects and impact of two differen heat treament processes wih different holding time have on EOS 3D- Printed Maraging Steel MS1/MS300. The following heat treatments used in this studie is: (i) Solution heat treatment at 940 Degree Celsius for 2 hours followed by aging at 490 degree Celsius with a holding time of 1, 4 and 6 hours. (ii) Solution heat treatment at 1400 Degree Celsius for 1 hours followed by aging at 510 degree Celsius with a holding time of 1, 4 and 6 hours.
Highest achived hardness for the DMLS produced MS1 steel was 647 HV, which was with achived with direct aging at 490 degree celsius with a holding time of 6 hours. For the second heat treatment, the highest achived hardness was meassured to 608 HV, for solution heat treated for 1 hours followed by aging for 6 hours. The "As printed" specimen achived yield strength of 812 MPa and tensile strength of 1074 MPa.
The microstructure in "as printed" MS1 consists of collumnar and equiaxed dendrite. After heat treatment the microstructure will change into a lath martensittic structure.
