Dikt som opning mot «meir-enn-mennesket». Olav H. Hauges dikting og eleven si omverd

Abstract

Artikkelen tek utgangspunkt i Olav H. Hauge si poetiske søking etter samkjensle med andre menneske og naturen som «meir-enn-mennesket». Med grunnlag i økokritisk, kognitiv og litteraturdidaktisk teori, diskuterer forfattaren verdsopnande kvalitetar i Hauges dikt, innanfor ramma av ei estetisk orientert litterær undervisning. Som del av ein modell for litterær berekraft, blir eleven si førestillingevne vektlagd, men òg kultur-kritisk refleksjon og integrering av livsområde som inkluderer naturen som «den Andre». På bakgrunn av funn i ny klasseromforsking argumenterer artikkelen for ei sanseleg og reflekterande litteraturundervisning der eleven dannar seg gjennom opning av både dikt og omverd.

In this article the point of departure is the Norwegian poet Olav H. Hauge, and his search for a deeper connection with both humans and the “more-than-human” in nature. Based on ecocritical and cognitive literary theory and pedagogy, the article discusses the world-opening potential of Hauge’s poems within aesthetic teaching. Using an ecocultural model for literary sustainability, the article places emphasis on pupils’ literary imagination, without ignoring cultural-critical reflection and integration of nature as an-Other. Supported by new comprehensive Norwegian classroom research, the article calls for a literary teaching that places more emphasis on the senses and the imagination – i.e. an opening up of both the poems and the natural environment, without downgrading reflection.
