Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) is one of the Europe’s leading Oil & Gas industry with long and substantial history from 1960. The energy industry is supported by the various Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance (EPCICM) service companies. Both operator and service industries play central role in Norwegian economy. The safe, efficient, profitable and environment friendly operations are pioneering goal for industry in Norway. The development and management of these resources have posed various challenges and undergone significant transformations over the years. Digitalization is one of the key modern transformations in the direction of modern asset management which is central in this research thesis. The research work is carried out in the premises of Aker Solutions (AKSO) which is one of the oldest and innovative Norwegian EPCICM who developed Project Execution Model (PEM) & Human Resource management system for executing various green field, brown field, maintenance, and green energy projects. The asset is having urge to establish lean and efficient system which will be user friendly and effective with usage of modern technological advancements. AKSO have set strategic ambitions eyeing on new digitalization goals. The two key research area are sub-vital activities set under their central goals. • Human Resource Management System is key factor for enhancing asset performance in resource management. The human asset resource is vital element for efficiency in EPCICM sector. • Next Generation Project Execution Model (NG-PEM) Data flow efficiency will be maximized to achieve lean methods and work methods and work processes updated to enhance the effective changes in asset operations. For research, popular Minimum Viable Product (MVP) method is used. The method follows basic steps of investigation, identification, ideation, and execution. It is a methodology used to build and test a new product or service quickly and inexpensively, with the goal of determining whether there is sufficient demand and interest to continue investing in the development of the product or service. Human Resource Management issue solved with the new Microsoft Power Application, which is versatile, user friendly, effective, efficient, safe, secure, and central database with global access. The application is also designed and equipped with future integration and development possibilities. NG-PEM data flow efficiency research exercise have identified many wasteful overprocessing of data of piping discipline of Life Cycle segment of AKSO. The systemic interview, string chart and colour coding have revealed many changes which can be used for betterment of present work methods and procedures. This case study and research can be foundation for further research and development of AKSO’S digital strategic ambitions. The proposed changes have potential for successful implementation of changes to achieve asset’s efficient, effective performance.
