A novel AlSi10Mg-Ti6Al4V alloy fabricated through DLD was investigated. The novel alloyconsists of 92 wt.% AlSi10Mg and 8 wt.% Ti6Al4V. The alloy was found to have very weakmechanical properties, but it was very apparent it was caused by sub-optimal DLD parameters. Thenovel alloy was subjected to T6 heat treatment and stress relief heat treatment. Many strengtheningmechanisms was identified, yet their effect on the alloy could not be properly measured. It is likelythe novel alloy is stronger than AlSi10Mg, but further testing must be performed in order to drawsuch conclusions.
