Data sharing in business situations potentially impact innovations, operations, quality of decision makings, and costs. Companies are moving in the direction of increased data sharing as of today and an area of great value potential is logistics and the sharing of logistics information among actors. This thesis examines the impact data sharing has on business value between the players in the oil and gas industry and investigates this in the specific case of LogisticsHub, an industry initiative by NOROG, using interviews with operators, suppliers, a base company, a container owner, and a transportation company. The results from a total of eight companies convey a message that sharing logistics information impact their business value. General incentives and disincentives are outlined from the findings and the benefits seem to exceed the costs for the companies involved, given the assumption of full integration in the industry. However, it is difficult to state a universally positive effect due to the absence of quantifiable results supporting the findings. The recommendation of this thesis is to continue the implementation and further development of LogisticsHub in the industry and pay attention to the disincentives outlined and eliminate the ones possible.en_US
