Grønt Sosialt Arbeid: Kjennetegn og Utøvelse. Et Scoping Review

Abstract

Mens flere av samfunnets arenaer jobber mot et grønt skifte med fokus på det naturlige miljøet har sosialt arbeid et godt stykke å gå i Norge. Som en disiplin med en kjerne i menneskets velferd vil miljømessige utfordringer som hetebølger, matørken og tørke påvirke livskvaliteten til store deler verdensbefolkningen. Som en del av kritisk teori står grønt sosialt arbeid (GSA) frem som en holistisk teori som skaper rom for å inkludere det naturlige miljøet i sosialt arbeid og dens tradisjon. Dette scoping reviewet tar utgangspunkt i vitenskapelige artikler som bruker sosialt arbeid med miljøperspektiv. Hensikten er å undersøke hva som kjennetegner grønt sosialt arbeid og hvordan utøvelsen av det kan se ut.

While many of the societal arenas are working towards a green shift focused on the natural environment, social work still has further to go in doing so in Norway. As a discipline tasked with the protection of people’s well-being, the environmental challenges are threatening the quality of life for a huge part of the global population and is therefore a social work concern. Green social work, as a part of critical theory, stands as a holistic theory which creates room for inclusion of the natural environment in social works traditions and practice. This scoping review uses scientific articles which applies and practice environmental social work with the purpose of exploring the characteristics of the concept green social work, and how it is practiced. The information gathered from the literature review and its sources will be used to form a greater picture of what green social work can be, with an examination on the similarities.
