beregninger blir risiko fri rente 1,17%, levered bottom-up beta 0,97155 og markeds risiko
premie 4,82%.
dc.description.abstract | Lerøy Seafood Group belongs to the fishing industry, specially aquaculture of salmon and trout. The purpose of this task was to find the value of Lerøy Seafood Group in the spring 2021.
The thesis text begins with a presentation of the problem, followed by one presentation of the company and the industry. Then we go into two important theories used during the text, Damodaran's theories of fundamental valuation through the discounting of future cash flows, and the theory of relative valuation. We perform strategic analyzes with Porter's five forces framework and SWOT analysis. An accounting analysis is done to study the company's situation, assessing Lerøy's profitability, liquidity and solvency. With the help of these analyzes, we arrive at various assumptions that are used to estimate future cash flows.
The estimated company's future free cash flows are discounted with the cost of capital (WACC). The cost of equity included in WACC is calculated using the CAPM model. With our calculations is risk-free interest rate 1.17%, leveraged bottom-up beta 0.97155 and market risk premium 4.82%. Two different methods are considered when determining the debt cost; and it becomes 0.045325. Through a weight of equity and debt, we get a WACC of 0.0585.
As of 20/03/2012, we get a value per share of NOK 112 to Lerøy Seafood Group, while at the same time, the share price in the market was NOK 71.34. The sensitivity analysis shows that changes in WACC and terminal growth affect the share value and that lower or higher salmon prices also have consequences for the valuation.
The second estimation is made through a relative valuation, with reference to other Norwegians companies that also farm. Earnings multiples and book value multiples are calculated, and the relative valuation concludes with an estimated value of NOK131,86.
An average of the two forecasting gives a value of NOK121,955 for Lerøy Seafood Group's shares. The thesis concludes with a recommendation to buy shares from Lerøy Seafood Group.
