Sammendrag
With the increasing importance of environment conservation, there has been an increased focus on electrical vehicles. Electrical vehicles are a growing phenomenon globally and Norway is the country with the highest number of electrical vehicles per capita. I, therefore, utilized the Norwegian municipal-level data on registration of new electric and conventional cars and study which factors impact the adoption of electrical vehicles (EV) in Norway. The considered factors are median household income, population density, and the ratios of the older and younger population, and the employment ratio. From the regression analysis, it is found that the adoption of EV is faster in richer municipalities, more densely populated municipalities, and municipalities with younger population.
