Abstract
The main goal in this study was to study the non-neutral conditions in offshore environment and eventually study the horizontal stability in the wind patterns offshore. To assess the horizontal stability, data from the a near-shore site needed. Frøya wind measurement site is selected since measurement with 1Hz is available. Due to lack of “good data”, which is further explained in the result and discussion of the thesis only two months of data is selected for short-term analysis. The lateral correlation shows that there is a lot of dependency on the direction of the wind and topography of the area.
