Sammendrag
The production of a HVAC cabin unit is about 4,1 times higher in Norwaythan in the current production site in China. This is the result of a productdevelopment for manufacturing process that have been conducted. Even withhigher shipping costs from China to Norway there is no immediate economicalbenefit of moving the production from a project standpoint. There are severalnon economic benefits of moving the production, including but not limitedto: Shipping costs, Carbon Footprint and sustainability, economic benefitsof the Norwegian society, Lean project execution and quality control. There still are work to be done to improve the manufacturing process, andreduce manufacturing costs. This thesis only covers the process to the pointof including the manufacturers and a purchaser to decrease costs.
