Hvordan opplever pasienter i legemiddelassistert rehabilitering sitt behandlingstilbud?

Abstract

Hensikt: Studien har som hensikt å undersøke hvordan pasienter som mottar legemiddelassistert rehabilitering (LAR) opplever sitt behandlingstilbud, muligheten til å medvirke i egen behandling og covid-19 pandemiens påvirkning av behandlingstilbudet og pasient.

Metode: Studien er kvalitativt utformet med en fenomenologisk og hermeneutisk vitenskapsteoretisk tilnærming. Studien består av fem semistrukturerte intervju. Datagrunnlaget er analysert med utgangspunkt i tematisk analyse.

Resultat Resultatene av analysen indikerer at deltakeren i denne studien i stor grad er fornøyd med sitt behandlingstilbud i LAR, hvor det beskrives mulighet til å medvirke i egen behandling. Det kommer allikevel frem tidligere utilfredshet med behandlingstilbudet for deltakerne som har vært inkludert i LAR over lengre tid. Pandemien har ført til små endringer i behandlingstilbudet i form av flere ta-med-hjem doser og færre rusmiddeltester. Indirekte helsekonsekvenser av pandemien har funnet sted i form av forverring av lidelse, økt isolasjon og ensomhet.

Purpose The purpose of the study is to investigate how patients who receive opioid maintenance treatment (OMT) experience their treatment, the opportunity to participate in their own treatment and the covid-19 pandemic's impact on the treatment offer and the patient.

Method The study is qualitatively designed with a phenomenological and hermeneutic scientific theoretical approach. The study consists of five semi-structured interviews. The data material is analyzed on the basis of thematic analysis.

Result The results of the analysis indicate that the participant in this study is largely satisfied with their treatment offer in OMT, where the opportunity to participate in their own treatment is described. Nevertheless, there is previous dissatisfaction with the treatment offer for the participants who have been included in OMT for a long time. The pandemic has led to small changes in the treatment in the form of more take-home doses and fewer drug tests. Indirect health consequences of the pandemic have taken place in the form of exacerbation of suffering, increased isolation and loneliness.
