dc.description.abstract | Our thesis seeks to identify the future of hydrogen in Norway and to give an overview of the
key factors that affect Hydrogen Industry development. We investigated what the drivers and
barriers are towards the Hydrogen Industry, and assessed whether Norway has a competitive
advantage over other countries to establish in the Hydrogen Industry.
Our thesis contains a theoretical framework including Diffusion of Innovation theory and a
PESTLE analysis. Chapter 3 describes our methodology, chapter 4 presents our qualitative
findings. Chapter 5 contains a discussion of our results, where we draw attention to factors,
we think might be crucial for the success of Hydrogen in Norway, and link it to our
theoretical framework.
This thesis presents qualitative primary data results from different perspectives, such as
financial institutions, political municipalities and companies operating within Hydrogen in
Norway. We focus on the role Hydrogen could take in the future for Norway by exploring the
factors that will likely influence the future of the Hydrogen Industry in great extent. Lastly,
we outline the limitations of our thesis to conclude and provide recommendations for future
research. | |
