Opplevelsen lykke i dagens nye digitale samfunn - En litteraturstudie

Abstract

In this thesis I will deal with the problem “connection between the use of social media and experiencing happiness. This is not a new question, and many has written about both social media and happiness before me, therefore I have chosen to do a literature study to find answers to my research question. This literature study contains both qualitative and quantitative data through reference to statistics and interviews. I emphasize on mental health, and that this is a big factor for both the use of social media and the experiencing happiness. I also talk about the entrance to a new society, according to Lindgren this is a “digital society”, “internet society” or a “network society”, where everything is digitalized, and we have passed the industrial society. What has this new society done with us? How has is affected our mental health and experiencing happiness? This is the questions this thesis will try to answer

I denne oppgaven tar jeg for meg problemstillingen «sammenhengen bruk av sosiale media og opplev lykke». Dette er ikke ett nytt spørsmål, og mange har skrevet om både lykke og sosiale media fra før av, derfor har jeg foretatt en litteraturstudie for å finne svar på dette. Litteraturstudien inneholder både kvalitativ og kvantitativ data gjennom henvisning til statistikk og intervjuer. Jeg legger vekt på psykisk helse, og at dette er en stor faktor både for vår opplevelse av lykke og bruk av sosiale media. Jeg snakker om en inngang til et nytt samfunn, ifølge Lindgren et «digitalt samfunn», «internettsamfunn» eller «nettverkssamfunn», hvor alt er digitalisert og vi har gått bort fra industrisamfunnet. Hva har dette nye samfunnet gjort med oss? Hvordan har det påvirket vår psykiske helse og opplevelser av lykke? Dette er spørsmål oppgaven setter fokus på, og prøver å besvare.
