Sammendrag

Oppgaven er en teoretisk og empirisk analyse innenfor temaet samfunnsøkonomi og statistikk, med en problemstilling innenfor inflasjon. Målsetningen med denne oppgaven er å besvare hvilke faktorer som påvirker inflasjonen i Norge.

Opp igjennom årene har det skjedd en rekke hendelser som har påvirket prisnivået i Norge. Dette er internasjonale økonomiske hendelser, nasjonale økonomiske faktorer, samt endringer i stabiliseringspolitikken. I denne oppgaven vil vi gjennomgå ulike teoretiske perspektiver på inflasjon. Vi vil også ha en analyse av empiriske data som har en sammenheng knyttet til inflasjonen i Norge.

Vi vil også undersøke og drøfte noen av de viktigste faktorene som påvirker prisnivået på varer og tjenester i Norge. Dette inkluderer blant annet arbeidskraftkostnader, valutakurser, regulerings policyer, økonomisk vekst, rentenivåer og uventede hendelser. Videre vil vi diskutere hva som kan gjøres for at Norge skal opprettholde en stabil økonomi samtidig som å begrense inflasjonen.

I tillegg til dette, vil vi bruke den kvantitative metoden. Dette vil vi gjøre for å analysere ulike tall og data. Her vil vi bruke blant annet primære og sekundære datakilder som vil hjelpe oss til å besvare problemstillingen på best mulig måte. Det vi ønsker å oppnå med denne oppgaven, er å bidra til en dypere forståelse av inflasjonen i Norge og faktorer som påvirker den.

The assignment is a theoretical and empirical analysis within the topic of social economy and statistics, with an issue within inflation. The aim of this assignment is to answer which factors affect inflation in Norway.

Over the years, a number of events have occurred that have affected the price level in Norway. These are international economic events, national economic factors, as well as changes in stabilization policy. In this thesis, we will review different theoretical perspectives on inflation. We will also have an analysis of empirical data that has a connection to inflation in Norway.

We will also investigate and discuss some of the most important factors that affect the price level of goods and services in Norway. This includes, among other things, labor costs, exchange rates, regulatory policies, economic growth, interest rates and unexpected events. Furthermore, we will discuss what can be done to ensure that Norway maintains a stable economy at the same time as limiting inflation.

In addition to this, we will use the quantitative method. We will do this to analyze various numbers and data. Here we will use, among other things, primary and secondary data sources that will help us to answer the problem in the best possible way. What we want to achieve with this assignment is to contribute to a deeper understanding of inflation in Norway and factors that affect it.
