Utfordringar i integreringsprosessen av barn med minoritetsbakgrunn i skulen.

Abstract

Denne bachelor oppgåva tar føre seg kva for nokre utfordringar i samanheng med lærevanskar og deltaking i klassemiljø, som dukkar opp i integreringsprosessen av barn med minoritetsbakgrunn i norsk skule. I tillegg koplar oppgåva denne problemstillinga til relevant sosiologisk teori. For å svare på problemstillinga har eg tatt føre meg ein kvalitativ studie i form av intervju, og den resulterande dataen frå intervjua er det hovudsakelege grunnlaget for oppgåva sine konklusjonar. Dette i saman med teorien frå allereie eksisterande forsking kring temaet, samt den sosiologiske teorien eg valte å bruke i studien. Det viser seg å vere utfordringar båe sosialt og innanfor læring. I eksisterande forsking og gjennom mi eigen datainnsamling viser det blant anna at språk er eit grunnlag for dette. Eg har gjennomført intervju av tre informantar som har arbeida med elevar med minoritetsbakgrunn i fleire år. Eg har i saman med dei gått nærare inn på andre utfordringar som har vist seg å dukke opp i integreringsprosessen innanfor dei to kategoriane, lærevanskar og deltaking i klassemiljø.

This bachelor thesis is about the challenges that occur when it comes to difficulty with learning and participating in class environments, during the integration process of children with a minority background in Norwegian schools. In addition, this thesis connects its research question to relevant sociological theory. To answer the research question, I have conducted a qualitative study in the form of interviews, and the resulting data from the interviews is the main basis for the thesis conclusions. This is in addition to theory from already existing research about the topic, plus the sociological theory I chose to use in this study. It´s revealed that there exist challenges both socially and within learning. In the already existing research and through my own collected data it´s shown that language, amongst other things, is a reason for it. I have conducted the interview of three informants who have worked with students with a minority background for several years. I have, together with them, gone closer into other challenges that have shown to reveal themselves during the integration process within the two categories, difficulty with learning and participating in a class environment.
