Blockchain technology is a way to store data without having to rely on a centralserver, and stores data transparently and immutably. Ethereum is a blockchainimplementation that just went through major changes to its consensus protocolin the merge [14], leading to tools and parameters being deprecated.Creating a detailed step-by-step guide to setting up a private network gives apath to follow that explains each step and parameter. Automating the setup ofan Ethereum blockchain allows for a quick setup and testing without impactingthe main networks. Having a test network protects the main networks from bugscaused by testing, and automating the setup process allows developers to spendless time on the setup and more time on the testing itself.
