Abstract
Blockchain technology is a way to store data without having to rely on a central

server, and stores data transparently and immutably. Ethereum is a blockchain

implementation that just went through major changes to its consensus protocol

in the merge [14], leading to tools and parameters being deprecated.

Creating a detailed step-by-step guide to setting up a private network gives a

path to follow that explains each step and parameter. Automating the setup of

an Ethereum blockchain allows for a quick setup and testing without impacting

the main networks. Having a test network protects the main networks from bugs

caused by testing, and automating the setup process allows developers to spend

less time on the setup and more time on the testing itself.
