Unge arbeidssøkere; ivaretagelse av autonomi gjennom arbeidslinja.

Abstract

Denne litteraturstudien sitt overordnede formål var å undersøke hvordan unge arbeidssøkere opplevde at deres autonomi ble ivaretatt gjennom arbeidslinja. Det ble benyttet litteratursøk, hvor det ble utført søk i tre databaser: Oria.no, Idunn.no og Nordic social work Research. Deretter ble det benyttet CASP sin sjekkliste for kritisk vurdering av kvalitative studier. Det ble til slutt inkludert åtte studier i oppgaven.

Hensikten med de utvalgte studiene var å innhente ulike perspektiv, for å få bred forståelse om hvordan unge voksne opplevde at deres autonomi ble ivaretatt gjennom arbeidslinja. Det ble utført en tematisk analyse, hvor fire hovedtema ble identifisert: samarbeid og respekt, autonomi, opplever de unge at de får den hjelpen de trenger og opplever unge voksne frustrasjon i møte med velferdstjenesten i en arbeidssøkeprosess.

Resultat viser til blandete opplevelser blant de unge arbeidssøkerne, hvor noen kjenner på liten grad av autonomi, mens andre har hatt en opplevelse av at deres autonomi ble ivaretatt godt. Resultater viser også delte meninger når det kommer til ivaretagelse av respekt og godt samarbeid, og om deltakerne føler de får den hjelpen de trenger. Videre viser studien også til resultat i form av frustrasjon. Flere av deltakerne rapporterer en opplevelse av frustrasjon i møte med velferdstjenesten, og viser til at dette kan ha en negativ påvirkning på deres psyke.

The overarching goal of this literature review is to analyze how young job searchers perceive their autonomy to be maintained through the work line. Nordic social work research, Oria.no, and Idunn.no were the three databases used for the literature search. Using CASP's checklist for critical assessment of qualitative studies, eight articles were subsequently included in the thesis.

The chosen studies were chosen to gather many viewpoints and develop a comprehensive understanding of the subject. Four primary topics emerged from the thematic analysis: cooperation and respect, autonomy, if the young people feel the help they receive is adequate, and whether they experience job search frustration. By concentrating on these four basic topics and how they relate to one another, it will shed light on the issue from a variety of angles.

The findings indicate that several young job candidates don’t feel like it is adequately, and their autonomy is not taken care of. Other individuals report to have had positive experiences with their autonomy and self-determination being respected. Additionally, the findings indicate diverse opinions on how to maintain mutual respect and collaboration as well as if the participants feel like they are receiving the support they need. The study also discusses findings in the form of frustration and whether the participants experienced this feeling. When interacting with the welfare agency, several of the participants admit they become frustrated, and they feel this can be detrimental to their mental health.
