Ideas to development of methods with regard to the human conditions to the weather and the climate in the past are
outlined. The first method is based on the human’s challenges and consequences in connection to the climate in the
future, and uses scenarios for the future on the past (from future to the past). The second method is based on the field
surveys, where the characteristics of the landscape and local climate are in focus as a criterion of the choice of test-pits.
