dc.description.abstract | ION Racing is a student organization that each year designs and tests a formula student race car. The goal is to compete in formula student , which is the largest student competition in the world for engineers. The objective of this thesis is to design and a motor controller for use in the race car. The race car is electric and uses a 400V battery for the main power source and a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The motor controller is the interface between the battery and the motor.
The thesis includes the design of the small-signal electronics, power electronics, cooling of the power electronics and control software. | nb_NO |
