Verneombudets rolle i hotellbransjen

Abstract

Temaet som undersøkes i denne oppgaven, er verneombudsordningen. Oppgaven vil ta for seg aspekter som verneombudet kan påvirke eller ikke i hotellbransjen. Problemstillingen lyder som følgende; «Hvordan påvirker verneombudets rolle arbeidsmiljøet og trivselen til de ansatte innen hotellbransjen?»

Det viktigste aspektet rundt tematikken verneombud slik jeg ser det, vil være å se på hvilke arbeidsoppgaver denne ordningen bør sette søkelys på. Jeg ønsker også å undersøke om ordningen i seg selv vil kunne påvirke arbeidsmiljøet og trivselen. Videre stiller jeg spørsmål ved om ordningen er betydelig nok for arbeidsmiljøet til at det bør investeres mer på verneombudet som et verktøy for godt arbeidsmiljø. Valg av forskningsprosess og informasjonskilder for tematikken hentes fra tidligere skrevet litteratur og erfaringer fra verneombud og ansatte i hotellbransjen. Gjennom denne forskningsprosessen har forfatteren kommet frem til at det kan være lønnsomt å gå enda mer i dybden for å undersøke om det er flere aspekter verneombudet kan påvirke.

The topic examined in this thesis is the safety representative. The thesis will address aspects that the safety representative may or may not influence in the hotel industry. The problem is as follows; "How does the safety representative's role affect the working environment and the well - being of the employees in the hotel industry?"

The most important aspect around the topic of safety representatives, as I see it, will be to look at which tasks this scheme should shed light on. I also want to investigate whether the scheme itself will be able to affect the working environment and well-being of the employee in the Hotel industry. Furthermore, I question whether the scheme is significant enough to invest in, for the working environment. The choice of research process and information sources for the topic is taken from previously written literature and experiences from safety representatives and employees in the hotel industry.

Through this research process, the author has come to the conclusion that it can be profitable to go even further in depth to investigate whether there are several aspects that the safety representative can influence.
