Hvordan arbeider skolen med å avdekke og forebygge mobbing?

Abstract

Forskningsprosjektets problemområde: Hensikten med denne masteroppgaven er å belyse skolens harde arbeid med å avdekke og forebygge mobbing. Det er et krevende arbeid å stanse mobbing, men likevel et at skolens viktigste arbeid. Derfor er det viktig at skolens ansatte har god nok kompetanse på området, og det er årsaken til at jeg har gått dypere inn i skolens arbeid med å avdekke og forebygge mobbing.

Forskningsprosjektets metode: Denne studien har en kvalitativ tilnærming med bruk av semistrukturert intervju som metode. Ved å ta i bruk en fenomenologisk vitenskapelig tilnærming har studien resultert i en dypere forståelse for lærerne og skolens ledelse sitt arbeid med å avdekke og forebygge mobbing. Utvalget mitt består av fire informanter som jobbe på samme skole.

Forskningsprosjektets hovedfunn: Informantene har bidratt til et rikt datamateriale knyttet til skolens arbeid med å avdekke og forebygge mobbing. Her tyder sentrale funn på at gode rutiner og de ansattes tillit spiller inn på elevenes læringsmiljø i arbeidet mot mobbing. Samtidig viser studiens funn at grundige elevundersøkelser som for eksempel Spekter, i samhandling med observasjoner og elev- og foreldresamtaler, er helt avgjørende i arbeidet med å avdekke mobbing. Videre blir aktivitetsplikt og handlingsplan to viktige begrep i forskningsprosjektet. I samråd med disse to viser funn at læreres forståelse for mobbing, fokus på relasjonsbygging og en autoritativ klasseledelse er med på å forebygge mobbing i skolen.

Problem area of ​​the research project: The purpose of this master's thesis is to shed light on the school's hard work in detecting and preventing bullying. It is a demanding job to stop bullying, but still one of the school's most important work. Therefore, it is important that the school's employees have good enough competence in the area, and that is the reason why I have gone deeper into the school's work to detect and prevent bullying.

Method of the research project: This study has a qualitative approach using the use of a semi-structured interview as a method. By applying a phenomenological scientific approach, the study has resulted in a deeper understanding of the teachers and the school's management's work to detect and prevent bullying. My sample consists of four informants who work at the same school.

The main project of the research project: The informants have contributed to a rich data material related to the school's work to detect and prevent bullying. Here, key findings indicate that good routines and the employees 'trust affect the students' learning environment in the work against bullying. At the same time, the study's findings show that thorough student surveys, such as Spekter, in collaboration with observations and student and parent interviews, are absolutely crucial in the work of uncovering bullying. Furthermore, the activity obligation and action plan will be two important concepts in the research project. In consultation with these two, findings show that teachers' understanding of bullying, focus on relationship building and an authoritative classroom management help to prevent bullying in schools.
