Implementeringen av bærekraftig utvikling i norske lærebøker på ungdomstrinnet

Abstract

Temaet for oppgaven er hvordan bærekraftig utvikling har blitt implementert i skolen, og hvordan dette har påvirket fortellingen om det norske oljeeventyret. Oppgaven har en todelt problemstilling:

1. Har implementeringen av bærekraftig utvikling i lærebøkene skjedd i samsvar med implementeringen av bærekraftig utvikling i læreplanene? 2. Hvordan har implementeringen av bærekraftig utvikling påvirket fremstillingen av det norske oljeeventyret i lærebøker?

Oppgaven undersøker hvordan implementeringen av bærekraftig utvikling har blitt implementert i fire norske lærebøker for ungdomstrinnet: I fokus 9, samfunnsfag av Egil Ertresvaag, Eva Glad, og Svein Rognaldsen, Underveis, Historie 10 av Harald Skjønsberg, Underveis, Geografi 9 av Jon Birkenes, og Relevans 9 av Vibeke Heidenreich. Lærebøkene ble utgitt fra perioden 1990 til 2021 i samsvar med endringer i skolens læreplaner (M87, L97, LK06 og LK20).

Oppgaven konkluderer med at implementeringen av bærekraftig utvikling i lærebøkene har skjedd i samsvar med læreplanene, og at bærekraftig utvikling har fått en større rolle i norske lærebøker, og det norske oljeeventyret har dermed måttet vike. Lærebøker reflekterer samfunnet rundt seg, og er derfor i stadig utvikling.

The theme of the thesis is how sustainable development has been implemented in school, and how this has influenced the narrative of the Norwegian oil adventure. The assignment has two research questions:

1. Has the implementation of sustainable development in the textbooks occurred in accordance with the implementation of sustainable development in the curriculum? 2. How has the implementation of sustainable development affected the portrayal of the Norwegian oil adventure in textbooks?

The assignment examines how the implementation of sustainable development has been implemented in four Norwegian textbooks for junior high school: I fokus 9, Samfunnsfag by Egil Ertresvaag, Eva Glad, and Svein Rognaldsen, Underveis, Historie 10 by Harald Skjønsberg, Underveis, Geografi 9 by Jon Birkenes, and Relevans 9 by Vibeke Heidenreich. The textbooks were published from the period 1990 to 2021 in accordance with changes in the school's curriculum (M87, L97, LK06 and LK20).

The paper concludes that the implementation of sustainable development in the textbooks has taken place in accordance with the curriculum, and that sustainable development has been given a greater role in Norwegian textbooks, and the Norwegian oil adventure has in return been given a lesser role. Textbooks reflect the society around them, and are therefore constantly evolving.
